Currently in Denver — October 12, 2023: Cloudy Fall Day

Plus, our new global warming reality, in one terrifying graph.

The weather, currently.

Cloudy Fall Day

If we didn’t already know that Autumn has arrived, this Thursday basically screams FALL: high temperature around 57, mostly cloudy, and a 40% chance of showers throughout the day. The wind is also coming to play with potential gusts of 34 mph in the late evening.

This is your chance to maybe wear that cozy soft sweater you’ve been thinking about for the past few weeks. Are you lacking in the sweater department? Go buy yourself a sweater. It’ll (probably) make you feel better. And grab a pumpkin spice latte while you’re at it (from anywhere that isn’t Starbucks) 😁

What you need to know, currently.

A new comprehensive summary of September’s shocking global temperature record was published on Wednesday. It’s worth a read in its entirety — it give an overview of exactly what happened, why, and what we can expect over the coming year or so as a result.

I’ll leave it at that. This graph says it all.

We are in a climate emergency.
